Refund and Returns Policy

At Teyara, we take great pride in the quality of our products. If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, we are here to help.
1. Eligibility for Returns
Due to the nature of food and beverage products, we can only accept returns under the following conditions:
- The product is unopened and in its original sealed packaging
- The return request is made within 14 days of receiving your order
- The product has not passed its best-before date
- The item was purchased directly from teyaratea.com
We are unable to accept returns on:
- Opened or partially used tea products
- Products returned without original packaging
- Items purchased on sale or with a discount code
- Gift cards
2. Damaged or Incorrect Items
If your order arrives damaged or you receive the wrong product, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with:
- Your order number
- Clear photos of the damaged or incorrect item
- Photos of the outer packaging
We will arrange a replacement or full refund at no cost to you.
3. How to Request a Return
To initiate a return:
- Email us at hello@teyaratea.com with your order number and reason for return
- Wait for our team to approve your request — we respond within 2 business days
- Once approved, ship the item back to our address
- Upon receiving and inspecting the returned item, we will process your refund or exchange
4. Return Shipping Costs
- If the return is due to our error (damaged or wrong item), we will cover the return shipping cost
- For all other returns, the customer is responsible for return shipping costs
- We recommend using a trackable shipping method as we cannot be responsible for lost return parcels
5. International Orders
For international customers (outside Sri Lanka):
- Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer
- Original shipping charges are non-refundable
- Customs duties or taxes paid are non-refundable
6. Refunds
Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
- Approved refunds are processed within 5-7 business days
- Refunds are issued to your original payment method
- Depending on your bank or payment provider, it may take additional time for the refund to appear in your account
All approved refunds will be credited back to the original payment method used at the time of purchase. We do not issue refunds to a different payment method or account.
7. Exchanges
If you would like to exchange a product for a different variety, please contact us at hello@teyaratea.com. Exchanges are subject to product availability.
